This 2012 North Pacific Pilothouse 43 is a rare find for those seeking a ready-to-go trawler for safe and confident cruising. Pelagic is a 12 year passion project, upgraded continuously by a experienced owner focused on creating a go anywhere, easy-to-handle trawler. Pelagic has been to Hadai Gwaii and back many times and is outfitted for extended time at anchor.

With its spacious salon/galley, two roomy staterooms, a pilothouse and flybridge, the North Pacific 43 makes for comfortable extended cruising. The NP43 feels much larger than the length would imply. Built on a semi-displacement hull, the NP43 is both stable and efficient. Pelagic is equipped with a Cummins 380hp engine, allowing for efficient cruise at 7-10 knots. At 7 knots, the NP43 will burn approximately 2.5 GPH, 3.5GPH at 8knots and 10 GPH at 10 knots. Top speed is approximately 11.5-12 knots. 

Pelagic is hull #57 of 63 and many late model upgrades such as stainless steel window frames.

Hull Construction

• Proven Design: Over 60 NP43s were built and they have cruised from CA to Alaska as well as East Coast extensively. The NP43 is a well-proven coastal cruiser.
• Seaworthiness:
  • Hard chines provide good initial stability for a comfortable cruise. The semi-displacement hull also allows for cruise speeds higher than hull speed.
